An important aid

Pilot tests become especially important to perform for the final design when sludge separation is critical or when the wastewater composition fluctuates.

Pilot tests on-line often precede the installation of the full-scale process and are a very good teaching aid for training operators and other personnel before full-scale start up.

Pilot wastewater treatment investigations are used to:

  • Verify the results of bench scale laboratory tests.
  • Study the impact of variations of the incoming wastewater quality.
  • Refine aspects of the post treatment stages such as biosolids separation.
