R&D for improved wastewater treatment

Our products are the result from extensive research and development. We continue to further improve the processes in order to make them more economical and less dependent on natural resources. Issues that we are working with is improving nitrification and denitrification in biofilm processes. The design of our MBBR™ biocarriers are also an important research area. An important tool and a base for improvement is the activated sludge process. Further development of processes with both biofilm and activated sludge such as HYBAS™ and BAS™ is also continuing.

The concern for the environment and water is something people all over the whole world have in common. AnoxKaldnes has companies in Sweden, Norway, USA and Australia and an office in Russia in order to increase our availability and meet the demand for our products. We are proud that our MBBR™ biofilm technologies implemented as Moving Bed™ biofilm processes, HYBAS™ IFAS processes, LSP™ treatment process and BAS™ treatment process have been installed at more than 400 wastewater treatment plants in 45 different countries.
